How to Start A Photography Business
by: Jean-Pierre Messier
There are so many different ways to start a photography business, that I could not possibly share them all in one article, and certainly not in depth. However, I’d like to give you a brief overview of business ideas that will hopefully get you thinking in the right direction. The most important thing I wish to convey is that there are numerous paths to a successful photography career, so don’t just take the first one that comes your way. I know you love this art we call photography, so choose a career path that will allow you to enjoy your craft and pursue the kind of photographer’s lifestyle you’re dreaming of right now.
Portrait Studio
Of course this is one of the first possibilities that comes to mind when considering a new photography business (see http://www.realphotographyjob.com). Portrait studios are a great way to fulfill your dream while working close to home and perfecting your skills. There is always a need for high quality portrait studios, and while the competition is stiff, there is still ample opportunity to break into new markets with a few creative marketing skills. And remember, portrait photography can be as interesting and diverse as photography itself, ranging from glamour shots to pet portraits. You can also get gigs to travel out of your studio to do school pictures, team photos, dance studios, and more.
Effective Networking For Writers

Effective Networking For Writers
by: Sophfronia Scott
‘Tis the season for conferences and seminars! Many of my friends have all been conference-hopping in recent weeks and we’ve been discussing how fruitful these gatherings can be when you can make great and lasting contacts. But how do you come away with something more substantial than a stack of business cards? Here are a few tips to keep in mind.
1.) Speak Up! The Magic of Telling
“Isolation is a dream killer,” says life coach Barbara Sher. One of the women in my mastermind group reminded me of that today. She recently attended an event where, for the first time, she came out of her shell and started telling people what she did. She was met with great enthusiasm and people asking her for samples and wanting to refer her to others. All because she spoke up. Now that doesn’t mean you go up to someone and talk non-stop! It does mean that you go into a conversation with a clear description of who you are and what you do or write.
2.) Be a Productive Networker
Food Poisoning–An Overview
March 31, 2009
What is Food Poisoning?
Food poisoning results when you eat food contaminated with bacteria or other pathogens such as parasites or viruses. Your symptoms may range from upset stomach to diarrhea, fever, vomiting, abdominal cramps and dehydration. Most such infections go undiagnosed and unreported.
But the Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that each year about 76 million people in the United States become ill from pathogens in food, and about 5,000 of them die.
Over 55% of such cases are caused by improper cooking and storage of foods, and 24% by poor hygiene, such as not washing your hands while preparing food. Only 3% of cases are from unsafe food sources. Keeping your hands clean while working with food is the single most important thing you can do to prevent food poisoning.
About 20 organisms can cause food poisoning. After you eat food contaminated with bacteria, they will multiply in your stomach and bowels. Some bacteria give off a toxin when they multiply. As a result, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps and diarrhea occur. Vomiting and diarrhea are the body’s way of eliminating the toxin, and most cases of food poisoning run their course without needing medical attention.
Low Maintenance Teak Furniture
March 31, 2009
In all likelihood you have heard of teak furniture and have wanted to know why it’s such a big deal. This article contains some simple info regarding the building material that seems a little mysterious, even has a weird sound to it, but dominates the market of outdoor furniture.
Teakwood furniture is especially suited to use outside the home because of its super high oil content and resistance to insects and warping. Teak is a hardwood tree indigenous to the east and south of Southern Asia and much of Southeast Asia. Teak is nowadays frequently planted in tropical environments and is exported around the world to furnish gardens and patios as well as for shipbuilding materials. Teakwood furniture ages in the weather and gains a silvery color without requiring any shelter or care at all. Just leave your teak furniture on the patio during all four seasons and you will end up with furniture that looks elegant in a natural environment and also affords comfort and durability. Look for teak furniture built with mortise and tenon joints for the utmost quality build.

Tips To Get Your House Ready For a New Puppy
by: George Crozier
It’s Christmas and you have decided to give that special someone a pet puppy as gift. You have done all your homework in selecting the proper breed with the right characteristics and temperament.
You have visited numerous breeders and pet shops and have found just the right puppy. You choose an adorable playful healthy puppy that will make the perfect companion.
Well, it’s not enough to just bring the new family member home.
You need to get your house ready for the new addition. Remember that pups are like babies, wanting to explore all parts of your house.
How do you know your house is safe and ready for your new pet?
Check for these:
1. Clear your house of poisonous items: Have you cleared your house of all poisonous items and taken them out of your pup’s reach? If you haven’t, now’s the time to put away cleaners, laundry detergents, bleach, disinfectants, insecticides, cleaning fluid, fertilizers, mothballs and antifreeze in cabinets or high up on shelves. An adventurous growing pup will be sure to jump high on to your shelves to find out what’s there.

Writing The Perfect Sales Letter
by: David Hennebery
Before you actually write the e-book we are going to write the sales letter first. Now I suggest you write it in Microsoft Word and save it. Then we can transfer it to the main “Sales site Page” when we are designing our basic site in step 5
The main reason we are writing our sales copy before we ever write a word in our e-Book is because it hasn’t actually being created yet, which means there is absolutely no limit what you can write in your sales letter. The sales letter doesn’t fit the e-Book; it’s the other way around.
Now you can describe exactly what your e-Book will show to the potential customer. There are no restrictions on what you can write in the sales letter. When the sales letter is completed you can then incorporate all the ideas you have come up with into your e-Book
Your sales copy must do the following three things
• Get the attention of the prospects
• Communicate the benefits of the product
• Persuade the prospects into the desired action
Puppy House Training Do’s And Don’ts

Puppy House Training Do’s And Don’ts
by: Brandon Layne
House training a puppy is important for the well being of your puppy and for your own sanity. The lack of house training is the number one reason that dogs wind up neglected, abandoned, or in animal shelters, but it’s the failure of the owner - not the puppy.
It’s very important for you to house break your puppy properly. Proper toilet habits need to be established when your puppy is young, since these habits can last a lifetime, and are very hard to break once they’re established. In most cases, true house training can’t begin until your puppy is six months old because puppies younger than that probably lack the bowel and bladder control needed for true house training.
Before they reach that age, puppies should be confined to a small, puppy proofed room during those times when you can’t supervise them. Puppy proofing a room is very similar to baby proofing a room. Just as you would put breakables and possible choking hazards out of reach of a baby, you need to eliminate the potential for your puppy to make a mistake and reduce any potential hazards from the room. That includes removing anything that your puppy might chew on.
Do you really need college to learn to play music?
March 30, 2009
Music courses are a great way to learn about virtually any area of music; history, theory, and musical instrument instruction — you name it and somewhere music courses specialize in it. Though generally found through colleges, universities or high school programs, music courses are also offered via one-on-one instruction with a private teacher or community-based workshops. Some churches even offer music courses as a complement to their choirs; the music courses may be offered to the general public, but they’re often geared toward the choir members and congregation.
In the last few years, however, a new dimension to learning music has appeared in the form of the internet ? the world wide web. Now instead of being limited to classroom courses, students are free to create their own schedules and learn at their own pace. A quick search on Google or Yahoo will turn up online courses in:
-Chord Piano
-Classical Piano For Beginners
-Improvising on the Piano & Guitar
-Rock Guitar
-Praise & Worship Guitar
-Killer Drum Instuctions
-Black Gospel Piano
-Jazz Piano
and many many more?
Winning Horse Racing Betting System

Winning Horse Racing Betting System
by: Ellison Mansfield
The most important rule of this system that you should never break is that once you have reached your goal winnings for that day, YOU QUIT AND WALK AWAY.
The first step in using this system is to set a value of how much you wish to win each day. As a rough rule, the safest figure is 5% of your total bank.
This is purely down to you. The higher the % the more risk you have of needing to “top up” your bank with more funds.
So for this example we say you have a bank of £1000, and therefore require our winnings each day to be £50. (Of course it could be just a bank of £100 and your target winnings be £5, it’s up to you and the size of your pocket. remember your in this only to win!)

Journaling Experiences and Events

How did you spend your day yesterday? When was the last time you went to see a movie? Can you remember the plot line? What did you do on your last vacation? Did you enjoy a particular meal, or visit a special tourist site that meant something special to you? While none of the answers to these questions matter in the overall scheme of life, they are a part of your life, and may very well matter to you at some point in time.
